Alkhidmat Foundation is sponsoring more than 30,000 children from across the country: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman
KARACHI, March 17 (SABAH): Under Orphan Care Program of Alkhidmat Karachi, five day eid shopping of orphans of Karachi has begun from Sunday. At first day, 700 children did shopping from noted local departmental store.
On this occasion, while talking to media persons, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Alkhidmat is sponsoring more than 30,000 children from across the country. He said Alkhidmat is sponsoring 2200 courageous children at their homes.
He said that Alkhidmat has provided them an opportunity that they make shopping like the other children so that they have not to face inferiority complex on the occasion of Eid. He said in Palestine, more than 31000 Palestinians have been martyred including 13000 children, adding during the month of Ramazan those children should not be forgotten.
On this occasion, Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Waqas Anjum Jafri, Executive Director Alkhidmat Karachi Rashid Qureshi, Director Orphan Care Program Yousaf Mayudin, Director Banu Kabil Project Salman Sheikh and other office-bearers were present. On this occasion the children did shopping for eid and they were very happy.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that these are not common children but these are special children and sponsorship of these children will take the people to paradise according to Hazrat Muhammad (SAWW). Prophet (SAWW) was himself an orphan. He said sponsorship of orphans is a distinguished program and added every year its circle is expanding.
He said that 11 clusters of orphan care program are working across the whole city. He said when the children are registered under the program then he is not left stranded but he is fully cared about. He said Alkhidmat has 20 state-of-the-art Aghosh Homes. In these Aghosh Homes, the children are being given modern facilities, he added.
On this occasion, Waqas Anjum Jafri said that at this time, 9 million children are orphans. He said on 15th of Ramadan a day is marked for orphans at international level aimed at diverting attention of people towards these orphans. He said they wanted to facilitate each and every orphan at his doorstep. He said, “I felt pleasure while seeing the children doing eid shopping large in number.”
