Alkhidmat Foundation is celebrating the month of Rabi-ul-Awal as an awareness of education: Syed Waqas Jafri
RAWALPINDI, Sep 9 (SABAH): Secretary General and Chairman Academic Scholarship Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Waqas Jafri has said that Muhammad Arabi (SAWW) was sent to the world as a teacher of the universe. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation continues services in education and other departments during the whole year.
Syed Waqas Jafri said that Rabi-ul- Awal is specially celebrated as an awareness of education, adding we wish that no child and youth in Pakistan should be deprived of education. He said for this purpose, the philanthropists cooperate.
As a result, thousands of students are provided with Alkhidmat Academic Scholarships for higher education every year. Alkhidmat has so far provided Rs 53 crore and 61 lakh worth of scholarships to 5,411 children. In the current session, 1174 male and female students were provided with a scholarship of Rs 9 crore 92 lakh. Merit of the scholarship is deserving but intelligent students and there is no restriction of religion, school of thought or area.
Syed Waqas Jafari said that the whole process of provision of Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship is completed under a transparent process and to improve the quality of education of the students. He said that scholarships are provided to students belonging to four provinces of Pakistan including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.
He said after providing the scholarship, the performance of the student is also evaluated for the entire year. Syed Waqas Jafari appealed to the well-wishers to light their candle in the month of Rabi-ul-Awal and become a source of support for the deserving students and play their role in the development of the country and the nation so that by following the path of the teacher of mankind, the light of knowledge can be spread in the beloved country by lighting the lamps of knowledge.
