Alkhidmat Foundation in collaboration with IHH Turkey holds a ceremony in honor of orphans, mothers
LAHORE, Oct 27 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Northern Punjab and IHH Turkey jointly organized a ceremony to honor courageous orphans and their mothers wherein Turkish ambassador was represented by country head of Tika, a government’s welfare organization of Turkey, Muhsan Balaji. On this occasion, 100 audacious mothers of orphans were provided with 100 sewing machines with a view of giving them employment.
Regional President Alkhidmat Foundation Northern Punjab Rizwan Ahmed headed the even wherein seven members of guests from Turkey and National Director Alkhidmat Foundation Orphans Family Support Programme Brigadier (retd) Abdul Jabbar Butt, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Dr Tariq Saleem, Director Alkhidmat Aghosh Air Marshal (retd) Farooq Habib, mothers of orphans and other office-bearers from the several districts were in attendance.
While addressing the event, Muhsan Balaji said that Pakistan and Turkey’s friendship was spanning over 75 years and the both are like a single body and added that Alkhidmat Foundation was serving in each and every sphere of life.
IHH functionaries while expressing their views on the occasion stated that they travel a long journey to Pakistan for bringing smiles on the faces of orphans. They said that body language and emotions were vital in comparison with language. They vowed to continue such activities in collaboration with Alkhidmat Foundation for bringing smiles on the faces of orphans.
Regional President Alkhidmat Foundation Rizwan Ahmed said that over 4.2 millions orphan children cannot take up voice for safeguard of their rights and added that Alkhidmat was sponsoring 19,500.
Moreover, he noted that different types of workshops and activities at 190 study centres were conducted for the orphans whereas the donors were kept abreast of their performance and continued such orphan children were provided with interest-free loan to make them independent citizens of the society.
