Alkhidmat Foundation has provided scholarships worth Rs 99.2 miln to 1174 students for the current session: Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri
KARACHI, August 24 (SABAH): Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri has said that Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has provided scholarships worth Rs 99.2 million to 1174 students for the current session. He said that so far Alkhidmat Foundation has spent Rs 533.1 million on 411 students, adding that the scope of the scholarships will be extended to M. Phil and PhD Programs.
This was stated by Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri while addressing the ceremony held in the honor of the best performing students in the educational scholarship program in Karachi after distributing gifts and degrees among them.
On the occasion Chief Executive Alkhidmat Karachi Navaid Ali Baig and Director Alkhidmat Academic Scholarship Yousuf Mohiuddin also addressed the ceremony. Manager Academic Scholarship Muhammad Tariq and other responsible were also present on the occasion.
Syed Waqas Anjum Jafri said that so far we are providing scholarships to master degree level programs. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation provides scholarships to the intelligent and able students belonging to the weak segments of society, adding that Alkhidmat Foundation wants to educate them and make them eligible so that they could brighten their future and look after their families and also play their role in the progress of the nation.
