Alkhidmat Foundation hands over fourth tranche of relief goods consisting of 21 trucks to Afghan authorities on Torkhum Border


LAHORE, Jan 07 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan under Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum has handed over the fourth tranche of relief goods consisting of 21 trucks to Afghan authorities on Torkhum Border in the context of the severe situation arising after the continued snow falling and severe weather conditions in Afghanistan.

Chairman Alkhidmat Health Foundation Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Vice Preisdnet Alkhidmat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Samiullah Jan, Fida Muhammad Khan, President Alkhidmat Peshawar Arbab Abdul Haseeb and provincial media manager Noorul Wahid Jadoon on Pak-Afghan border Torkhum handed over the fourth tranche of the relief goods to Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan inchage for IDPs Maulana Sherzad and other high officials for the Afghan affectees on the humanitarian grounds.

On the occasion Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman informed that relief goods worth Rs 32 million consists of food packages, winter packages and warm clothes for women and children, adding that so far Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has handed over 600 tonnes relief goods worth Rs 160 million through 65 trucks to Afghan authorities through Torkhum and Angoor Adda. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that it is our resolve that every possible help of the helpless Afghan brethren due to the harsh weather conditions will be continued in the hour of trial.

On the occasion of handing over the relief goods, the high officials of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan thanked Pakistani masses, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Pakistani government for their cooperation in rehabilitation of the Afghan affectees.
