Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholarship’s annual convention for 2023 held under Alkhidmat Foundation

PESHAWAR, June 13 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholarship’s annual convention for 2023 was held at Rose Keppel Hall of Islamia College Peshawar under Alkhidmat Foundation.

President of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman was the chief guest of the ceremony. On this occasion, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Professor Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, President Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Khalid Waqas, Regional Manager Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Jamaat-e-Islami Youth President Mian Sohaibuddin Kakakhel, Director Alfalah Scholarship Program Dr. Ilyas Farooqi, Acting Director Study Aid Foundation Asad Qureshi, Senior Manager Education Waheedullah and more than 200 scholars who obtained these Alfalah Scholarships participated in the convention.

In the ceremony, documentaries were presented on welfare services of Alkhidmat Foundation and inauguration as well as a successful journey of Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholarship.

Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said that quality education is a backbone of development of every nation which is why education should be our priority and added it is the education which builds nations. He congratulated the scholars who obtained these Alfalah Scholarships while terming them lucky that they were part of Alkhidmat’s Alfalah Scholarship Scheme.

He further said that more than 4.4 million children in Pakistan were orphans and more than half of them were helpless, adding that they have no access to education. He added these children were consuming their childhood in labor.

Alkhidmat Foundation, he said, was sponsoring more than 23,000 orphans.

Addressing the ceremony, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan said that provision of education, health facilities and justice was the responsibility of the state and added only in this a country could make progress and development.

He further said that Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholars were future of society as well as the country that is why they should play their role in the progress and development of the country. He said the scholars have to take this service forward for further empowering Alkhidmat Foundation for serving the humanity.

Addressing the participants, Khalid Waqas said that it is responsibility of the beneficiaries of Alfalah Scholarships to support such people who will be waiting for their assistance in the future.

Mian Sohaibuddin Kaka Khel said that beneficiaries of Alfalah Scholarships should do hard work so that they could serve the country and nation as well the depressed humanity.
