Alkhidamt Foundation with cooperation of PHA & ‘Milkar Pakistan’ to plant 9 miln trees during ensuing year in the city during ‘Smog Free Lahore’ camping
LAHORE, May 20 (SABAH): “Milkar Pakistan” delegation headed by Dr. Umar Saif met with Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat. On the occasion it was pledged to jointly work in “Smog Free Lahore” camping. Alkhidamt Foundation Pakistan with the cooperation of Punjab Horticulture Authority (PHA) and “Milkar Pakistan” will plant 9 million trees during the ensuing year in the city during “Smog Free Lahore” camping.
The purpose of the campaign is to persuade more and more people to plant the trees and provide clean atmosphere while making it smog free. The meeting held for this purpose was chaired by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat. The meeting was attended by former chairman Punjab information technology board and Jang Group Digital Chief Dr. Umar Saif, Senior Manager Alkhidmat Media Relations Shoiab Hashmi, head of the Alkhidmat Volunteers Management Department Sanan Akbar, Project Director “Milkar Pakistan” Kashaf Shah, head of Milkar Volunteers Program Muhammad Hadi Saif and other responsible and consultations were held regarding the inaugural ceremony of the campaign being held on 24th May.
While talking on the occasion Dr. Mushtaq Mangat said that Alkhidmat Foundation is committed to plant trees in whole country, adding that with the cooperation of Milkar, Alkhidamt Foundation is organizing a grand program near Lahore Airport on 24th May for making smog free Lahore, adding that on the occasion 15,000 trees will be planted. He said that there is target of planting 1.5 million trees till August this year, adding that in this program the male and female students of universities of the city in large numbers will take part and will participate in the campaign.
On the occasion, Dr. Umar Saif said that efforts of Alkhdimat Foundation for the humanity and “Smog Free Lahore” are worth appreciation. Dr. Umar Saif appealed the masses to take part in the campaign enthusiastically and play their role in betterment of atmosphere. Dr. Umar Saif assured every possible cooperation to Alkhidmat Foundation for making the campaign successful.
