Alkhidamt Foundation will play role in reconstruction activities in Gaza along with relief activities: Prof. Dr. Hafeezur Rehman
LAHORE, Aug 12 (SABAH): President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, participated in the convention of Federation of Islamic Medical Association (FEMA), an international organization of doctors in Cape Town, South Africa.
In the convention, Chairman Alkhidmat Health Foundation Prof. Dr. Zahid Latif, General Secretary Dr. Abdur Rehman and Member Advisory Board Dr. Intazar Hussain Butt also participated.
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rahman told the representatives of the Muslim organizations participating in the convention about the challenges faced by the Palestinian families in Gaza and the ongoing activities of Alkhidmat Foundation and said that Alkhidmat Foundation has delivered 2080 tons of relief goods at a cost of Rs 2.5 billion rupees to the brothers and sisters of Gaza. He said that Alkhidamt Foundation will play role in reconstruction activities in Gaza along with relief activities.
Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman said the provision of cooked food, food packages, tents, medicine, clothes, assistance to Palestinian students and orphans as well as the preparation of the field hospital is complete. He said that Gaza is currently going through the most difficult period in history, Alkhidmat is playing its role in the scope of NGOs, but the disaster is so big that it cannot be dealt by any NGO or institution. Relief organizations around the world will have to play their role effectively, he added.
