Alkhidamt Foundation organizes ceremonies in connection with Divali; food packages & other gifts distributed among 1200 Hindu families
LAHORE, Oct 26 (SABAH): Ceremonies under the Community Services Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in connection with the religious festival of Hindu community Divali were held in different areas of Mirpurkhas, Umerkot, Hyderabad, Ghotki, Bahawalpur and Muzaffargarh. During these ceremonies Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Zikrullah Mujahid distributed relief goods including food packages, clothes and bangles among 1200 Hindu families.
While addressing the different ceremonies Zikrullah Mujahid said that Hindus living in Pakistan are patriotic and are playing crucial role in progress of the country. He said that the purpose of attending the ceremonies of minority community is interfaith harmony and to promote positive traditions. Zikrullah Mujahid said that Alkhidmat Foundation is continuing the service of humanity without any discrimination of religion, sect, caste or colour. He said that every year food packages and other gifts are distributed among the deserving people on the occasion of festivals of minority community.
Zikrullah Mujahid said that for establishment of peace in the society it is vital to discourage religious hatred and sectarianism and religious tolerance and harmony should be promoted. Zikrullah Mujahid said that same as Alkhidamt Foundation distributes gifts among the deserving and needy people on the occasion of Eidul Fitr and Eidul Azha, the gifts are distributed on the occasion of Divali and Christmas. He said that the purpose of this is to include those people in happiness who lack resources.
