Ali Raza Syed expresses condolence on sad demise of Justice (retd) Abdul Majeed Malik
BRUSSELS/MIRPUR, Mar 02 (SABAH): Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed has expressed deep sense of shock and sorrow over the sad demise of prominent Kashmiri jurist and former chief justice of Azad Kashmir, justice (retd) Abdul Majeed Malik.
Ali Raza Syed who is currently on a visit to Pakistan and Azad Kashmir, upon hearing the news of death of Justice (retd) Abdul Majeed Malik visited his home in Mirpure, Azad Kashmir on Tuesday’s evening.
Chairman Kashmir Council Europe extended his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, and prayed to Allah almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
Referring to the deceased jurist’s contributions in the field of law and his services for strengthening the justice system and as well his social and political services, Ali Raza Syed said that justice Malik would be remembered for a long time in the history of Kashmir for his judicial, social and political services.
Majeed Malik was a man of principle and a great Kashmir leader as he had great contributions for the Kashmir cause. He stood for the Kashmiris and will be remembered for years. His death has left a vacuum that cannot be easily filled”, Ali Raza Syed said, adding that Justice Malik was a strong proponent of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
“Justice Abdul Majeed Malik was a strong supporter and sympathizer of Kashmiri people, particularly he was an advocate of oppressed people of occupied Kashmir, Ali Raza Syed added.
