Ali Raza Syed condemns continual civilian killings in occupied Kashmir


BRUSSELS, Nov 26 (SABAH): Chairman of Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed has condemned frequent incidents of killings of civilians by Indian armed forces in the illegally occupied territory of Kashmir.

It is important to mention that in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir, complete shutdown was observed on Friday and Thursday against repeated incidents of civilian killings by Indian occupation troops in staged encounters in the territory.  In night between Wednesday and Thursday, three civilian youth were killed by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Rambagh area of Srinagar. Few days ago, three other men were killed in the cold blooded murders by the Indian forces in Hyderpora area of capital city of the occupied territory.

Reacting over the constant killings in the occupied Kashmir, Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said, we strongly condemn violations of human rights including killings of the civilians in occupied land.  Chairman KC-EU said, killings of the civilians, which is a brutal example of Indian state terrorism, is a strongly condemnable and a horrible act.

He also condemns imprisoning of Khurram Parvez, the internationally famous human rights Kashmiri activist, who was recently arrested by Indian security forces in Srinagar. Chairman of KC-EU wrote a letter concerning imprisonment of Khurram Parvez to the various European authorities and international human rights organizations calling them to use their good offices for release the human right activist.

He said, we shall constantly raise our voice in the European institutions against the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir. Ali Raza Syed asked the international community not to be silent on genocide of the innocent people in occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Chair of KC-EU urged, international community specifically EU and UN should come forward to stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and play their role for just resolution of Kashmir issue.
