Ali Raza Syed condemns arrest of human rights activist Ahsan Untoo in occupied Kashmir


Brussels, Jan 15 (SABAH): Chairman Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) Ali Raza Syed condemned arrest of human rights activist Ahsan Untoo in occupied Kashmir.

Chairman International Forum for Justice and Human Rights of Jammu and Kashmir Muhammad Ahsan Untoo was arrested by police in Srinagar on Friday.

In a statement Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said, Ahsan Untoo who is an intellectual and defender of human rights in occupied Kashmir, identifies human rights violations in the occupied territory and raises his voice against the violations.

Ali Raza Syed said, India can not suppress voices of people of Jammu and Kashmir through such brutalities. We shall continue to raise our voices against the human rights violations and will uncover the Indian real dirty face involved in the severe violation of human rights in occupied Kashmir.

It is important to mention that Ahsan Untoo is one of the active human rights defenders in occupied Kashmir who raises his voice at international level. He even addresses the protest against Indian brutalities organized by KC-EU in Brussels time to time. Ali Raza Syed called for immediate release of Ahsan Untoo, Khurram Parvez and other Kashmiri figures detained by Indian authorities.
