Alkhidmat Foundation hands over relief goods consisting of 31 trucks to Afghan officials for Afghan affectees
PESHAWAR, Feb 15 (SABAH): Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan has handed over relief goods consisting of 31 trucks to Afghan officials for Afghan affectees on Tuesday. The cost of the relief goods is Rs 45 million.
The ceremony to hand over the relief goods to the Afghan officials was held at Pak-Afghan Border Zero Point on Torkhum Gate.
The ceremony was attended by Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary General Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui, President Alkhidmat Foundation Punjab Rizwan, the head of the ministry of Afghan refugees Muhammad Ali, Afghan east zone chief Mian Hafeezuddin Qamari, Afghan Official Ghaziullah Hashmir and other officials.
While talking to media persons on the occasion, Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary General Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui said that Afghan people have been badly affected in result of recent rains and snow falling, adding that today Alkhidmat Foundation has handed over 31 trucks loaded with relief goods including food items and winter packages to the Afghan officials. He said that the cost of the relief goods is Rs 45 million. He said that prior to this Alkhidmat Foundation has sent 72 trucks loads with relief goods including medicines, sewing machines, food items, warm clothes and winter packages to Afghanistan.
Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui said that so far Alkhidmat Foundation has sent 103 trucks loaded with the relief good to Afghanistan. He said that the cost of the relief goods is Rs 215 million.
On the occasion President Alkhidmat Foundation Punjab Rizwan said that Afghanistan is brotherly country of Pakistan and helping them is our moral and religious responsibility. He said that Pakistani masses are standing shoulder to shoulder with their Afghan brethren in this difficult time and the process of helping them will continue. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation will establish and make functional the Aghosh Home in Kabul prior to Ramadan for the orphan children and soon a hospital will also be established in Kabul. He said that Alkhidmat Foundation will conduct the heart operation of the 100 Afghan children in Lahore and sponsor the treatment.
While talking to media persons on the occasion the Afghan officials thanked Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan and Pakistani masses for supporting them in the difficult time and they also hoped that this process will remain continue.
