Agreement struck b/w the Govt & Jamaat-e-Islami should have to be implemented come what may: Hafiz Naeeemur Rehman
LAHORE, August 10 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that the agreement struck between the federal government and Jamaat-e-Islami after 14 days sit-in in Rawalpindi should have to be implemented come what may. He said that no one should have any doubt, adding that 43 days are left, countdown has started. He said that the government should continue informing about the steps taken by it, process of meetings will remain continue, each and every clause of the agreement will be got implemented. He said that the sit-in will be staged in front of the Parliament House if the relief was not given to the masses. He said that the movement will remain continue in the country, the schedule of the public gatherings throughout the country is being prepared, adding that the case of the masses will be fought will full strength and no one will be allowed to flee.
This was stated by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while talking to TV Producers during a meeting held at a local hotel in Lahore on Saturday. On the occasion Secretary General JI Ameerul Azim, Naib Emir JI Dr. Usama Razi and director media Salman Sheikh were also present.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the forensic audit of the IPPs will be conducted and saving in form of the payment of the capacity charges will go in electricity bills. He said that first time in the history of the country the government has been made bound to impose tax on landlords. He said that the process of holding public gatherings will continue throughout the country during the period of implementation on the agreement.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that he will announce the countrywide strike call on 14th August, adding that if agreement regarding payment of the electricity bills was not implemented then he will give call for boycott of payment of electricity bills. He said that the agenda of Jamaat-e-Islami is to get country rid of agents of the colonial forces and IMF slavery. He said JI will establish rule of masses in the country.
