After govt crackdown, Jamaat-e-Islami’s strategy changed, sit-in announced at three places

ISLAMABAD, July 26 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami changed its strategy and announced sit-ins at three different places after the road closures and government harsh acts against the protestors. Jamaat-e-Islami Information Secretary Qaisar Sharif said that the leadership of the party has decided to hold sit-ins at three places.

He said that a sit-in will be held at Murree Road Rawalpindi, which will be led by the General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami, Ameer-ul-Azeem, while Naib Emir Dr. Osama Razi and the provincial and district leadership will also participate.

He said that the second sit-in would be given at Zero Point, Islamabad which will be led by Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, while with him, Naib Emir Liaqat Baloch, Mian Muhammad Aslam, provincial and Islamabad leaders will participate.

The number three sit-in will be at 26 number Chungi which will be led by Naib Emir Dr. Atta Rehman, Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim and the provincial leadership.

Secretary Information said that until the demands of Jamaat-e-Islami are accepted, the sit-ins will continue and on the instructions of Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, the sit-in will be held wherever there is an obstacle.
