Aftaar dinner organized for foreign ambassadors & bureaucrats under Alkhidmat Foundation Northern Punjab Region
ISLAMABAD, March 18 (SABAH): Aftaar dinner was organized for foreign ambassadors and bureaucrats under Alkhidmat Foundation Northern Punjab Region. Turk Ambassador in Pakistan Dr. Mehmet Pacaci and Ambassadors of Canada, Malaysia, Japan, Palestine and Jordan, former officers of armed forces and anchor persons participated.
While giving briefing on emergency disaster, orphan, health departments and Gaza relief, President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman told the participants that during 2023, Alkhidmat Foundation served 20.5 million deserving Pakistanis with Rs 21.49 billion. He said Alkhidmat consumed one billion and 70 crore rupees for Gaza victims whereas aid luggage transportation is continuously underway.
He said in orphan care program and Aghosh Homes, Alkhidmat is annually spending two billion and 50 crore rupees. In the health department, it is consuming 7 billion and 50 crore. He said 67365 volunteers in emergencies provided relief and rescue to 625421 victims. In education department under Alkhidmat Alfalah Scholarship 436 million rupees were provided to 5269 deserving students. Under clean drinking water, Alkhidmat’s projects are underway from which 5678650 individuals benefit, he added.
Under Alkhidmat’s Mawakhat Program, interest free loan of 43 crore rupees has been provided to 14125 persons, he said whereas under social services, 3936255 prisoners, widows and crippled persons were provided services.
On this occasion, Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Air Marshal (retd) Farooq Habib, Regional President Northern Punjab Rizwan Ahmed, Regional Secretary General Nomair Hasan Madni, Syed Amjad Hussain Shah and other office-bearers also participated.
