Afghan Ulema delegation calls on Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Jan 11 (SABAH): A delegation of Afghan Ulema called on Liaqat Baloch, Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami and former parliamentary leader. The delegation said that the situation in Afghanistan deserves the serious attention of the whole world, justice-loving democratic and human rights circles. The people and the Taliban have succeeded in Afghanistan and the Islamic Emirate is ruling in Afghanistan after a long war of 40 years. The effects of the long and terrible war have left Afghan society in dire straits. Let the Islamic world play its role in rescuing Afghanistan from these crises.

Liaqat Baloch, on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, assured the Afghan scholars and people that our faith, humanity, neighbourliness and cultural ties are a great strength. The instigators of instability in the region are conspiring to create distances between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Our religion and values are common.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is adamant that the Afghan government should be recognized immediately and that the Afghan leadership should have free opportunities to communicate and cooperate with the world.

Baloch said that the United States and European countries must immediately restore the frozen funds and assets of Afghanistan, it is the right of the Afghan people, and the inhumane treatment/behaviour towards Afghan people must be stopped.

He said that Muslims around the world wish and pray for the success of the Taliban and the Afghan people. We are confident that the Afghan leadership will thwart all conspiracies with mutual trust and perseverance.

Liaqat Baloch while offering condolences to the family of the deceased in Murree in Lahore said that the whole country is in mourning and shock, the government has become the enemy of the happiness of the people. The administration, federal and provincial governments are responsible for the criminal mismanagement, incompetence and irresponsible behavior in Murree.

He said that Prime Minister wants to run the country by being unaware of the situation of the country and problems of the people and relying only on rhetoric. The thing called government is extinct in Punjab, the government is incompetent and the administration is paralyzed and sitting hand in hand.

The appointment of Chief Secretary, IG, other secretaries, illegal and arbitrary persons to administrative posts is the main reason behind the Murree tragedy, he said adding that Prime Minister and Chief Minister of Punjab should resign over the Murree tragedy.
