Advisor to the US President on Arts & Culture Shahid Ahmed Khan calls on Mushaal Hussein Mullick

ISLAMABAD, Jan 21 (SABAH): Pakistani-American businessman, Shahid Ahmed Khan, Advisor to the President of United States Joe Biden on Arts and Culture called on Ms. Mushaal Hussein Mullick, SAPM/Minister of State for Human Rights and Women Empowerment here in Islamabad.

During the meeting, topics of mutual interest especially related to global peace and interfaith harmony were discussed. Furthermore, they both explored the potential avenues where they can join hands and contribute towards the Global Peace, in particular to resolve disputes in Kashmir, Palestine and Ukraine. Moreover, the relationship between respect for human rights and global peace, specifically, highlighting the human rights violations of POWs/detainees in IIOK, Palestine and Ukraine and their effects on the Global Peace and Security also came under the discussion. Both stressed upon collaborative efforts to work on cultural diplomacy as Art transcends all boundaries and can play as an effective tool for conflict resolution. Ideas to explore and preserve the rich heritage and culture of Pakistan and Kashmir came into discussion.

During the meeting, they both condemned the violation of Geneva Conventions 1949 and committing of grave breaches in the conflict zones in the World. In the end, they both agreed to work together towards bringing Global Peace by projecting soft image through culture, arts and women inclusion.
