ADB technical team briefs Secretary BISP Amer Ali Ahmad on new centralized complaint management system
ISLAMABAD, August 08 (SABAH): Secretary Benazir Income Support Programme, Amer Ali Ahmad, presided over an important meeting with the technical team of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The ADB team presented a detailed briefing to Secretary BISP on the development of a new iGMS Centralized Complaint Management System.
During the briefing, the ADB team informed the Secretary that the newly developed system aims to enhance the redressal process for BISP beneficiaries by generating a unique ID/Tracking number, allowing users to monitor and track the entire life cycle of their complaints.
Secretary BISP emphasized the importance of an efficient complaint reporting mechanism and suggested the introduction of a simple complaint form specifically for BISP beneficiaries. He stressed that this would make the system more accessible and user-friendly.
The ADB technical team announced that testing of the system is scheduled for October 2024, with the pilot program expected to launch in December 2024. Additionally, a test trial of the new Complaint Management System will begin in November 2024.
Secretary BISP requested the ADB team to advance the pilot launch to September 2024 and sought their continued technical and technological support to ensure the smooth functioning of the system. The ADB team assured that they would provide comprehensive technical training to the BISP IT team to facilitate a successful transition to the new system.
