ADB delegation visits BISP One Window Center in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, Oct 09 (SABAH): A delegation of Executive and Alternate Executive Directors from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) visited the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) One Window Center in G-7, Islamabad, to review its operations.
Led by Donald Bobiash, the delegation included Shigeo Shimizu, Supak Chaiyawan, Noor Ahmed, Shantanu Mitra, and Llewellyn Roberts.
During the visit, Naveed Akbar, Director General NSER/CCT at BISP, briefed the team on BISP’s core programs, including Benazir Kafaalat, Taleemi Wazaif, Nashonuma, Undergraduate Scholarship, the NSER database, Mobile Registration Vehicles, and the payment mechanisms.
The delegation also observed the registration process for women beneficiaries, the enrollment of out-of-school children under Taleemi Wazaif, the Nashonuma Center, and the payment facilities at BISP partner bank counter.
The ADB delegation commended the efficient operations and the range of services provided to women beneficiaries at the BISP One Window Center.
