A grand dialogue involving all stakeholders should be initiated: Sirajul Haq

LOWER DIR, Dec 23 (SABAH): Former Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that the focus of the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is on confrontation with the Centre instead of the welfare of the people.

These views were expressed by Sirajul Haq, the former Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, in his speech as the chief guest at the annual Dastarbandi meeting at Jamia Tafheemul Quran, Timergara. Maulana Shah Hussain, Maulana Hidaitullah and others also addressed the gathering.

Instead of the negotiations between the federal government and PTI, a grand dialogue involving all stakeholders should be initiated, he said. The tradition of punishing civilians by military courts is not correct, he added.

He said that the rise of Muslims is related to the implementation of Quranic sciences, but unfortunately sectarianism is taught in some madrasahs due to which the Ummah is being divided.

Sirajul Haq said that the American embassy in Pakistan has been mobilized to divide and weaken Pakistan, Balochistan and Pakhtunkhwa are at the mercy of militants. He said the dead bodies of 16 FC soldiers from Waziristan in a single day has saddened the nation and demanded to start Grand National Dialogue on this occasion.
