Girls & boys both have an equal right to education & to be able to fulfill their dreams: Jane Marriott

ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (SABAH): British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott has said that girls and boys both have an equal right to education and to be able to fulfill their dreams. She said that around 26 million children are currently out of school in Pakistan, and those who are in schools are not learning enough.

This was stated by Jane Marriott in her message on the International Day of Education. She said “my name is Jane Marriott and I am the UK High Commissioner to Pakistan”. She said that inclusive quality education is vital for peace and development and to break the cycle of poverty.

Jane Marriott said that since 2014, the United Kingdom has directly supported around 5.8 million children to gain access to a decent education across Pakistan. Jane Marriott said ”I am glad that this journey continues with the government and development partners. Every child deserves good education, and on this International Day of Education, we vow to make this happen together”.
