8th Youth Gathering under the Volunteers Program of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal Lahore
LAHORE, Dec 16 (SABAH): 8th Youth Gathering under the Volunteers Program of the Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan was held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal Lahore.
The ceremony was attended by President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman, Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim, Secretary General Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Waqas Jafri, Vice Presidents of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, Zikrullah Mujahid, Air Marshal (retd) Farooq Habib, Secretary Rescue 1122 Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Vice Chancellor Punjab University Dr. Khalid Mahmood, prominent pod caster Hafiz Ahmed, prominent comedian Gull Nokhaiz Akhtar, Shahid Lone from Allah Walay Trust, Head Milkar Pakistan Volunteers Department, expert water resources Zafar Iqbal Wattoo, Shahzad Aslam, who served during the flood, Al-Arbia Dubai Editor Mansoor Jaffar, Palestinian student Muhammad Munir Al-Aqd and over three thousand boys and girl students from over 20 universities of the country and people from different walks of life.
The slogan of the 8th Youth Gathering was “diar-e-Ishq ma maqam paida kar”. The purpose of the youth gathering was to create awareness among the students that how they could help the suffering humanity while being students. On the occasion the medals were conferred on those who have brought medals for Pakistan from whole world.
While briefing about the Gaza situation and relief activities of Alkhidmt Foundation Pakistan, Professor Dr. Hafeezur Rehman appealed Pakistani community and volunteers to help the suppressed Palestinians. He said that the purpose of organizing the youth gathering is to unite the youth on the one platform and make them the asset of Pakistan.
Ameerul Azim said that Alkhidmat Foundation has become the identity of Pakistan in the whole world, adding that connection with it should not be for some specific period but till the last breath.
