45% Pakistanis believe Kashmir issue can be resolved in their lifetime: Gallup & Gilani Survey

ISLAMABAD, March 12 (SABAH): According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, more than 4 in 10 Pakistanis (45%) believe Kashmir issue can be resolved in their lifetime.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the question, “Do you think the Kashmir issue can be resolved in your lifetime?”. In response, 45% said ‘Yes’, 34% said ‘No’, while 21% said they don’t know or did not respond

The study in Pakistan was conducted and released by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 788 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country, conducted from 7th January – 12th January 2025. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level. The methodology used for data collection was telephonic surveys (CATI)

Meanwhile according to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 2 in 5 Pakistanis (42%) reported suffering from joint pain in the previous month; more respondents aged  50+ reported similar (52%).

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the question, “In the past month, have you or any member of your household experienced any of the following ailments/illnesses? By household members, I mean all individuals who live together and share a kitchen. [Joint Pain]” In response, 42% said ‘Yes, and 58% said ‘No.

Across age: Respondents aged 50 and above were, as expected, most likely to suffer from joint pain. 52% of respondents aged 50+ suffered from joint pain in the previous month compared to 46% of respondents aged 30-50 and 30% of respondents aged under 30.
