Israel is a war criminal & violating human rights: Maulana Fazlur Rehman

DOHA, Feb 25 (SABAH): Chief of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that Israel is a war criminal and is violating human rights.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman expressed these views during his conversation with former Hamas chief Khaled Mashal in Qatar on Tuesday.

According to JUI Spokesperson Aslam Ghauri, Maulana Fazlur Rehman is holding important meetings with Hamas leaders during his visit to Qatar. As part of this, he met with former Hamas chief Dr. Khaled Mashal.

He stated that Maulana Fazlur Rehman conveyed the sentiments of the Pakistani people to the Hamas leaders and said that the hearts of the Pakistani people beat with their Palestinian brothers.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman offered condolences for the martyrs and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He reiterated that Israel is a war criminal and is violating fundamental human rights.

Hamas leader Dr. Khaled Mashal stated that Palestinian Muslims are awaiting support from their Muslim brothers and are in dire need of medicines, tents, and rations.

On this occasion, Maulana Fazlur Rehman assured all possible assistance and appealed to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam workers and the Pakistani public to support their Palestinian brothers in this difficult time.

Earlier, Maulana Fazlur Rehman met with the head of Hamas’s Central Shura Council, Abu Omar. The meeting was also attended by Allama Rashid Mehmood Soomro, Mufti Abrar Ahmad and Hamas leader Dr. Zaheer Naji.
