University of London played an important role in raising the standard of legal education in Pakistan: Attaullah Tarar

ISLAMABAD, Jan 25 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate has said that it is encouraging to see women stepping into leadership roles. 

Addressing the Alumni ceremony of University of London in Islamabad on Saturday, Attaullah Tarar expressed satisfaction that women are now leading in all professions.

The Information Minister paid tributes to the University of London for its invaluable contributions especially in terms of raising the standard of legal education in Pakistan. He mentioned that the people who graduated from University of London have made a great contribution to society in particular and to Pakistan in general. He said that the University of London has played an important role in raising the standard of legal education in Pakistan. He said that those who secured degrees from University of London are playing an important role in different fields of life in country, adding that these people have crucial role in progress of Pakistan and in the field of law.

Attaullah Tarar said that the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and great philosopher and poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal secured educated from the great institution of Britain “Lincoln’s Inn”. Attaullah Tarar paid rich tributes to all great professors and teachers of University of London.

In her remarks on the occasion, Judge of the Supreme Court Justice Ayesha A. Malik said a nation’s strength lies in its educated people who respect the law, realize their rights and engage with the democratic process.
