45% Pak’s think that country facing a bigger danger from internal threats as compared to external threats: Gallup & Gilani Pakistan


ISLAMABAD, Sep 23 (SABAH): According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 45% Pakistani’s think that the country is facing a bigger danger from internal threats as compared to external threats.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the following question, “Considering the dangers that Pakistan is faced with, do you think that the greater danger is from internal threats or external threats?”

In response to this question, 45% responded that internal threats were greater while 16% responded external threats were greater and 28% thought that both external and internal threats are of danger. 43% of the people with no education and secondary education think that internal threats are greater as compared to 60% of the people who have high level of education. Whereas 23% of the people with no education and 12% and 13% of people who have secondary and high levels of education think that external threats are greater.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1462 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country, from Aug 03 – Aug 24 2022.

The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level. The methodology used for data collection was Face to Face Surveys.
