29% Pakistanis reported facing demand of illegal payments at a govt hospital, in the past year: Survey


ISLAMABAD, Feb 18 (SABAH): According to a survey conducted by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 29% Pakistanis reported facing the demand of illegal payments at a government hospital, in the past year.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the country was asked the following as a follow up question, “In the last 12 months, have you experienced any of the following problems in a government hospital/clinic?  – Demanding illegal payments?”

29 percent responded yes while 71percent said no.
