26th Parents’ Day of Cadet College Sanghar celebrated in a befitting manner; Shazia Atta Marri graced the occasion as Chief Guest
SANGHAR, Jan 22 (SABAH): 26th Parents’ Day of Cadet College Sanghar (CCS) was celebrated in a befitting manner on Sunday.
Mohtarma Shazia Atta Marri, Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Upon her arrival, the Chief Guest was received by Commandant CCS Commodore Zeeshan Ali SI (M). She was welcomed with Guard of Honour presented by smartly turned out cadets.
While addressing the audience, the Federal Minister in her address, commended the efforts of CCS administration in turning the college into a recognised educational institution and praised them for holding a magnificent celebration. She added that despite its distant location, limited financing and resources, CCS offers best training facilities to the youth of Sindh. She also assured the full support of Government of Sindh to the college.
Earlier, in his address, the Commandant highlighted that CCS has earned a prominent position with impressive academic results throughout the province and rapidly progressing towards attaining academic excellence while enjoying good reputation all over Pakistan. With kind patronage of Sindh Government and Pakistan Navy, the college will continue to keep abreast with modern educational and highest standards of quality education.
Later on, the Chief Guest gave away awards and trophies to the cadets for their best performances in academics, sports and co-curricular activities. The highest honour awards, the stick of honour and badge of honour were won by Ex-cadet Hafiz Muhammad Talha and Ex-cadet Muavia Anwar respectively. Allama I. I Kazi Division was declared the “Champion Division’’ for the next year.
The Chief Guest also inaugurated 100 KW Solar System for 5 x Cadets’ Hostels installed with financial support of Pakistan Navy. She also visited the exhibition of the Arts and Science clubs and appreciated the cadets on the display of variety of Science and artistic projects.
The Parents’ day ceremony was attended by Members of Provincial Assembly, BOGs members, large number of Military officials, District Government Officials, Dignitaries, Area notables and parents of the Cadets.
