26th January celebrations by India are fake: Farooq Rehmani

ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (SABAH): Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League and ex-Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJ&K Chapter, has categorically told that the people of Jammu and Kashmir IIOJ&K do reject Republic Day of India as a day of fake and false Celebrations in view of India’s failure to abide by the UNSC resolutions with regard to plebiscite in the erstwhile princely State of pre-partition age.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said the Kashmiris had made it time again clear that they would not rest until they got freedom and the right of self-determination, and everything was self-explanatory that Indian racist Hindutva regime was enforcing laws of its own choice on the people after dismembering it in 2019, making it a Union Territory, repealing its special status in violation of its own constitutional safeguards, commitments, bilateral agreements and the relevant United Nations resolutions.

He said the people of Kashmir had totally boycotted the Indian Celebrations in the illegally Occupied part as always, but India was forcing the people for celebrating it with her military and police might and thus trying to hoodwink the world opinion. He castigated the racist regime of India for daily killings of innocent people, designating pro freedom parties, banning Islamic educational institutions, confiscating and sealing past ancestral immovable properties of pre portion times of the bona-fide Kashmiris, dismissing the Muslim employees from their lawful jobs, implicating thousands of the youth and students in fabricated criminal cases to suppress their basic human rights. And still claiming to celebrate the Republic Day of India in IIOJ&K.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani said that the Republic Day of India is nothing but A Black Day in Kashmir, because of 9 hundred thousand military forces stationed there for the last 70 years and patrolling all across the disputed region round the clock, he concluded.
