21% decline in BCS speaks volume about govt’s ineptness: Asad Umar

ISLAMABAD, Dec 07 (SABAH): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General and former minister for planning, development and special initiatives Asad Umar has said that the imported government’s policies and fascism caused a colossal damage to the country’s economy, which was evident from Business Confidence Score (BCS) showing a sharp decline by 21 percent.

The PTI central secretary general, in a statement on Wednesday, said that the BCS took a shocking dip from previous positive 17% to negative 4%.

He said that the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) survey showed sharp deterioration in business confidence amongst overseas investors in Pakistan.

The survey revealed that the overall Business Confidence Score (BCS) in Pakistan now stood at negative 4 percent showing a decrease by 21 percent from the previous positive 17 percent in Wave 21 Survey conducted in March to April 2022.

Asad Umar stated that the incompetent and inept government ruined the well-performing economy of the country. He said that the county had been seeing the worst fascism in the last 8 months, shattering the economy of the country. However, he expressed optimism that the nation now woke up and God willing, they would be victorious.
