190 million pound Al-Qadir Trust case is a mega corruption scandal in the country’s history: Attaullah Tarar

ISLAMABAD, Jan 13 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has said that the 190 million pound Al-Qadir Trust case is a mega corruption scandal in the country’s history, and those involved will have to answer and face the consequences.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Monday, he mentioned that the verdict in the case was to be announced today, but the accused did not appear. He said that using delaying tactics is the hallmark of the PTI founder.

He further noted that a person with a clean record does not seek adjournments or change the counsel. He said black money was whitened through the trust.

In his remarks on the occasion, PML-N leader Talal Chaudhry said that the Al-Qadir Trust case is an open-and-shut case, and those involved cannot escape the sentence. He emphasized that there is no question of granting an NRO to the accused.
