17 temporary tent schools setup in flood-areas for continuing education of children: President Alkhidmat Foundation pakistan, Muhammad Abdus Shakoor
LAHORE, Oct 11 (SABAH): Seventeen temporary tent schools were setup in flood ravaged areas for continuing education of the children.
In this regard, President Alkhidmat Foundation, Muhammad Abdus Shakoor said that relief activities were afoot in flood-hit areas and continued that small and big settlements were setup after identification of safer places near the affected areas so that maximum victims could be provided all the basic facilities.
In these settlements, facilities of cooked meals, water filtration plants, field hospitals and tent schools were provided, he said. Tent schools were established so that the children’s attention could be diverted to education and their education could be continued, he said, and added, in these schools, both religious and modern education are being provided to the students whereas school bags and stationery were being provided free of cost.
School going students being large in number were being provided education in different shifts, Abdus Shakoor said and added facilities of solar fans and solar lights were also being provided in view of sweltering heat and unavailability of electricity in the affected areas. He concluded that these children are future of our country and said that Alkhidmat Foundation will keep continue its assistance until their complete rehabilitation.
