13 terrorists killed in Nushki, Panjgur by security forces; seven security officials including an officer embrace martyrdom
RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD, Feb 03 (SABAH): 13 terrorists were killed during security forces operations in Nushki and Panjgur districts of balochistan.
According to ISPR, after successfully repulsing terrorist attacks at Panjgur and Nushki on Wednesday night, Security Forces carried out clearance operation to hunt down terrorists hiding in the area.
In Nushki, security forces encountered and killed five more terrorists bringing the tally to nine terrorists killed in Nushki.
Four brave soldiers embraced shahadat including an officer while repulsing this attack.
In Panjgur, security forces operation is continuing to eliminate fleeing terrorists. Four terrorists have so far been killed at Panjgur while at least four to five are encircled by the security forces.
During intense fighting three soldiers embraced shahadat and four soldiers are injured.
As per initial investigation, intelligence agencies have intercepted communications between terrorists and their handlers in Afghanistan and India.
Meanwhile Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid, while lauding the armed forces, said four to five terrorists were still holding out in Panjgur after the security forces successfully repulsed an attack on the FC base in the city and in Naushki.
“They terrorists would be eliminated soon. This is yet another success that Pakistan Army has achieved against terrorism,” the interior minister said in a video message issued on twitter.
The minister further revealed that four soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred during the operation whereas nine terrorists in Naushki and six in Panjgur were killed by the security forces.
“Panjgur and Naushki have been cleared of terrorists,” Sheikh Rashid added.
The minister deplored the terrorist attacks on the camp of security forces in Naushki and Panjgur and said that four security personnel have also embraced martyrdom in retaliation. We salute the brave officers over repulsing the attacks, he expressed.
Sheikh Rashid said that our security forces are well trained to foil any kind of terrorist attack.
