Bilawal calls for vigorous joint action at int’l scale for meaningful efforts regarding safe & pollution-free environment

ISLAMABAD, June 04 (SABAH): Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has called for vigorous joint action at the international scale for meaningful efforts regarding safe and pollution-free environment so as to ensure ‘protected planet Earth.’

Bilawal Bhutto was of the view that joint efforts for this noble cause are now unavoidable and it can’t afford any further negligence.

The PPP chairman in his message asserted that ‘World Environment Day’ is a reminder to every community and each of us human beings that still we have time and opportunity to check the environmental catastrophe that is nearing fast.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the earth-friendly environment can be assured through urban planning, serious implementation of policies for the control of variety of pollution, promotion of forestation and protection of natural environment.

He said that Pakistan, as a responsible country, is taking steps to tackle climate change. The Pakistan government has been raising awareness about the environmental issues and challenges at the grassroots level as well as pursuing policies regarding economic activities, which are of pivotal importance on environmental protection.

Bilawal Bhutto was of the view that the environmental challenges are huge and need plenty of resources to meet them. The PPP Chairman while drawing attention of Pakistani nation urged upon them to play their active role for grooming the environment and to take a pledge to leave no stone unturned in this cause. We as a nation have to keep our environment pollution free and spare no effort to prevent environmental destruction to our land, mountains, rivers and everything.
