South Asian Broadcasting Agency (SABAH)
South Asia, home to over two billion people, has been the focus of the international community since Pakistan’s matching response to Indian nuclear tests in 1998. Since then, major global players have been very active to avert nuclear war between the neighbours. Once again in August 2019, India’s Hindu nationalist government in a controversial move usurped power of the only Muslim-majority state by revoking Article 370 special status of the illegally occupied state in terms of autonomy and its ability to formulate laws. This latest Indian move of the Modi regime potentially reignited unrest in one of the world’s most dangerous nuclear flashpoints attracting global media attention.
As US and NATO forces intend to draw down from Afghanistan after two long decades of war and conflict, the Taliban have claimed more territorial gains and latest media reports suggest violence in the country last year was worse than in Syria. This instability in Afghanistan has larger regional ramifications as Pakistan, India, Iran, China and Russia all compete for influence in Kabul.
In this context, South Asian Broadcasting Agency (SABAH) has been playing a pivotal role through independent, impartial and unbiased coverage of events unfolding in the most volatile region of the world. Run by a team of professional and seasoned journalists with experience of up to three decades, the news agency and its staff work hard 24/7 to keep the world at large and especially its consumers updated with the important events taking place in this part of the globe.
