No-confidence motion submitted against CM Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo
QUETTA, May 18 (SABAH): Political turmoil erupts again in Balochistan on Wednesday. A no-confidence motion has been submitted against Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo. The no-confidence motion has been signed by 14 members including former chief minister Balochistan Mir Jam Kamal Khan. The no-confidence motion has also been signed by Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, Naimatullah Zehri, Mobeen Khilji, Zahur Buledi, Arif Muhammad Hasani, Saleem Khosa, Nawabzada Tarig Magsi, Mitha Khan Kakabr, Sarfaraz Domki, Asghar Achakzai, Naeem Bazai, Shahina Kakar and Bibi Fareeda.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Member Provincial Assembly Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind said that they have the required number for a no-confidence motion against Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo. This movement will succeed. All parties will nominate a new Leader of the House in consultation after the success of the no-confidence motion, he added. He said that the law and order situation in Balochistan is worse.
He said that the people of Balochistan want Abdul Quddus Bizenjo to be removed from office. People of Balochistan and members of Assembly are disappointed with their CM. The no-confidence motion has been signed by allies, he said.
Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind said that the party members are united against their leader Bizenjo and decided to move a no-trust motion against him. “We have all the required numbers and the no-confidence motion will be a success against Bizenjo,” said Rind, adding that the party will decide about the new chief minister after holding consultations with other parties.
Earlier talking to a private TV channel, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind said that he is very concerned about the current situation in Balochistan. The province is in a very bad condition, he reiterated.
Carry on with the criticism he said it seems like the next budget will be presented on Jinnah Road. Even right now we are going to submit a no-confidence motion in the assembly. He mentioned that some friends will come out openly, afterwards the no-confidence move has been filed.
He further added that the cancerous part of the body is supposed to be cut off. We were under the impression that there will be a positive change after Jam Kamal. The PTI leader explained that it’s not a matter of personal rivalry, they gave Abdul Quddus Bizenjo the chance to make things better but the condition of the province is becoming worse day by day.
Jam Kamal remained in power for three years, while Abdul Quddus could not even manage to stay on the post for three months, said Yar Muhammad Rind.
Meanwhile, Balochistan government spokesperson Farah Azeem Shah said that Bizenjo will remain the chief minister of Balochistan for the next five years as well. “The no-confidence motion against him will fail,” she maintained.
Last year, the BAP members demanded the resignation of former CM Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan from his position after they filed a no-trust motion against him. Following the demands, Jam Kamal had stepped down from his position.
Out of 65 members, the votes of 33 members will be required for the no-confidence motion to be successful, while the party needs 17 votes to file the motion against the CM.
