Rulers have lost the trust of masses due to their failure to address problems of people in three years: Sirajul Haq

MULTAN, Nov 14 (SABAH): Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Sirajul Haq has said the rulers have lost the trust of masses due to their failure to address the problems of people in three years.

Addressing a press conference in Multan on Sunday, Sirajul Haq said the corruption and bad-governance weakened the institutions and the country’s economy was on the verge of collapse. “The PTI government is incompetent and lacks vision to put the economy on track.”

He demanded the government pay attention to address the basic problems of the masses. The government must fulfill its promise to make the southern Punjab a separate province, he said. He also demanded the government establish women universities in every divisional headquarters of southern Punjab. He said the road network connecting different district of south Punjab was presenting a gloomy picture. The government, he demanded, must built the road infrastructure in the area.

To a question, Sirajul Haq said the government should recognize Afghan government and stop looking towards the USA and western powers to make this decision. The government, he said, should ask the Islamic world to recognize the Taliban government in Afghanistan. He said the government failed to protect the Kashmir cause and made a full surrender on it. He said those who betrayed the people of Kashmir would be held accountable by the Pakistani nation.

The JI chief said the PTI made tall claims to bring real change but it failed to do so in three years. Despite passing three years in government, the PTI failed to fix the basic problems, he added.

Sirajul Haq said the PTI government completely destroyed the economy and weaken the institutions. The VIP culture was still plaguing the country, he added. He said the people must recognize their real enemies now who were feudal lords and corrupt imperialists. He said the country needed a real change and the option was only Jamaat-e-Islami to make this change happen.
