Govt will give five to eight percent commission to Kiryana retailers on Ehsaas’ subsidy amount: Sania Nishtar


ISLAMABAD, Nov 14 (SABAH): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Senator Dr. Sania Nishtar visited six small cities and towns along the GT Road to create awareness among masses regarding the Ehsaas Rashan programme.

She went to Rawat, Mandra, Gujjar Khan, Sohawa, Dina and Jhelum. The visit was aimed at guiding Kiryana merchants in small areas about the Ehsaas Rashan enrollment process and the programme modalities.

On the occasion, Sania Nishtar enrolled several Kiryana owners on the portal at various sites.

She also spoke to local trader associations and youth in the rural areas and urged them to help Kiryana merchants and low-income families in online registration.

The Special Assistant said the government will give five to eight percent commission to Kiryana retailers on Ehsaas’ subsidy amount.

She said there will also be a quarterly lucky draw to give away cars, motorcycles, mobile phones and various other prizes to the best Kiryana performers.

More than one million people registered successfully for Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program so far: Sania Nishtar

 

HASSAN ABDAL/PESHAWAR, Nov 14 (SABAH): Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation Senator Dr. Sania Nishtar has said that more than one million people have registered successfully for Ehsaas Rashan Riayat Program so far.

Talking to media persons during a visit to Hassan Abdal, she said as many as 40 million people have submitted their data in the portal since the start of the registration process.

Dr. Sania Nishtar said an individual of the household can get registered under this program an monthly subsidy of one thousand rupees will be given to each family.

Meanwhile, addressing a news conference in Peshawar on Sunday, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation Dr. Sania Nishtar has said Ehsaas Rashan Programme is aimed at providing relief to downtrodden and marginalized segments of society. She said under the Ehsaas Rashan program launched by the federal government edible items are being provided to people at low price.

She said that as many as 20 million families identified through the recently completed Ehsaas survey will benefit from the programme.

The Special Assistant said the Ehsaas Rashan provides a subsidy of 1,000 rupees a month to each of the 20 million families on the purchase of flour, pulses, ghee and cooking oil.

Dr. Sania Nishtar said the citizens can get information on website for their registration to get benefit of the programme that would begin in December and continue for three weeks.
