Pakistan Railways is continuously working to improve its services: Hanif Abbasi
ISLAMABAD, March 17 (SABAH): Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi met with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Pakistan, Ahmed Al-Tahiri, at the Ministry of Railways. During the meeting, the UAE Ambassador congratulated Hanif Abbasi on assuming his new role as Federal Minister for Railways and extended his best wishes for his success.
Ambassador Ahmed Al-Tahiri also expressed deep sorrow over the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffer Express near Paneer Railway Station in Kachhi Bolan, where terrorists attempted to hijack the train and took passengers hostage. He condemned the attack and extended his sympathies to the affected passengers and their families. During the meeting, both dignitaries discussed the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE, particularly in the railway sector. It was noted that relations between the two countries continue to strengthen across all sectors.
Ambassador Ahmed Al-Tahiri stated that the friendship between Pakistan and the UAE is unwavering, emphasizing the deep-rooted ties of brotherhood and mutual respect between the two nations. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to further enhancing bilateral cooperation.

He emphasized that Pakistan offers a business-friendly environment, presenting significant opportunities for investors. Both leaders agreed to continue and expand bilateral cooperation in the railway sector and other economic domains. Meanwhile Muhammad Hanif Abbasi met with former Minister for Railways Shahid Ashraf Tarar in an honorary meeting. During the meeting, both leaders discussed the development of Pakistan Railways and the challenges ahead. On this occasion, former Minister Shahid Ashraf Tarar congratulated Hanif Abbasi on assuming his new office and extended his best wishes for the successful operation and improvement of Pakistan Railways.
