APHC pays rich tributes to great sacrifices of Shaheed S. Hameed Wani

ISLAMABAD, April 18 (SABAH): A Condolence reference was organized by Azad Kashmir chapter of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) to commemorate martyrdom anniversaries of Shaheed S. Hameed Wani. A prayer meeting was chaired by Convener APHC AJK chapter Mohammad Farooq Rehmani.

APHC pays rich tributes to great sacrifices of S. Hameed Wani, great leader of the freedom movement on his 24th martyrdom anniversary and prayed for his eternal heavenly blessings. He was martyred by the Indian agents on this day in 1998.

APHC members highlighted the Peoples League’s (PL) chairman S. Hameed’s peerless contribution towards the ongoing freedom struggle said that the martyred leader was a man of integrity who served the movement throughout his life and ultimately laid down his life for the national cause.

The APHC leaders voiced their grave concern over the continued bloodshed and violence in the region, saying that innocent people were being killed day in and day out by the Indian occupation forces deployed in length and breadth of the valley.

The members of APHC also condemned daily killings, brutal search operations, arrests and detentions, fake encounters of Kashmiri youth, by the Indian occupation forces and police across the occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir, saying that reprisals are taking place without any justification and the demographic changes are taking place according to the settler-design of India.

Mohammad Farooq Rehmani appealed to the United Nations authorities and world human rights organizations to take solid steps to ensure Kashmir’s demographic and cultural integrity and prevent India from human rights violations in the illegally occupied part of Jammu and Kashmir.
