Mushaal urges world powers, Muslim world to take practical steps to find lasting solution to Kashmir dispute
ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (SABAH): Mushaal Mullick, wife of unlawfully incarcerated Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, called upon the international community, Muslim world and UN bodies to take practical and tangible steps for resolution of the long-standing Kashmir dispute and release of all political prisoners including her husband forthwith.
Talking to a delegation led by secretary-general of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy Prof Dato Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano, Mushaal informed them on the dire human rights situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), emphasizing the need for international intervention to ensure settlement of the issue as per the UN agreed formal and aspiration of Kashmiri people.
Mushaal, Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organisation, shed light on the fast aggravating human rights violations, particularly the incarceration of Kashmiri leaders, including her husband Yasin Malik.
The chairperson emphasized the need for their immediate release, as well as an end to the human rights violations and oppression faced by the Kashmiri people. Mushaal pointed out that the brutal forces converted the scenic valley into a killing field and made the life of Kashmiri people a hell. She lamented that Yasin Malik was facing serious health issues but he was denied medical facilities despite the fact that he had been in jail fabricated, absurd and politically-motivated cases.
Mushaal expressed alarm that her husband was kept in death cell and the occupation authorities were using kingroo court to silence him forever because he was the most powerful voice of Kashmir freedom struggle.
She urged the OIC to rally the international community to protect the fundamental human rights of the Kashmiri people and ensure their right to self-determination, as guaranteed by UN Security Council resolutions. On the occasion, Prof Dato Dr. Koutoub Moustapha Sano presented his books on resolutions made by OIC and international Islamic fiqah academy.
Delegation extended their full support for Kashmir cause and resolution of the dispute as per the wishes of Kashmiri people.The delegation expressed deep concern on the incarceration of her husband Yasin Malik along with with other Kashmiri prisoners languishing in Indian Jails.They reaffirmed their commitment to raise voices for oppressed Kashmiris under Indian Occupation till they get their right to self determination.
Mushaal vowed that Kashmiri people would continue their struggle for breaking the shackles of Indian subjugation and would not yield to the Indian occupation forces brutalities and state terrorism.
She made it clear that fascist Indian regime should better to realise the bitter reality that they could not continue their unjust occupation for long so better to let Kashmir decide their fate as per their free will so as to ensure perpetual resolution to Kashmir dispute once and for all.
