Long night of cruelty & horror consisting of six decades in Syria has come to an end: Asif Luqman Qazi

LAHORE, Dec 8 (SABAH): Director Foreign Affairs Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Asif Luqman Qazi has said that the long night of cruelty and horror consisting of six decades in Syria has come to an end. He also congratulated the people of Syria on their freedom.

In a statement, Asif Luqman Qazi said that living in an environment of freedom, human dignity and respect, justice and fairness is the basic right of every nation. No dictator or tyrant has the right to bleed the aspirations of the nation, he said and added “Build his palaces on the basis of human corpses.”

“The forced, oppressed Syrian people, who were banned from natural environment of their homeland, wish them a happy new era of freedom in their national life,” he remarked.

Asif Luqman Qazi further said that this is the time of thanks and prayer to Almighty Allah. “There are mixed feelings of hope and apprehension about the future. There are still some sensitive hours left. The evening caravan is still in the mists of the morning. Building a new Syria requires wisdom. The land of Syria has a central position in terms of Islamic civilization,” he further remarked.

He said, “A heavy responsibility is imposed on the pioneers of free Syria. The new Syria must be different from the old Syria. The end of darkness is possible only through the promotion of light of mercy. It is gratifying that the Interim National Council of Resistance has assured all Syrians of peace, respect, justice and freedom.”

He went on to say, “They also assured to protect the life and property of all citizens of Syria equally, no matter who belongs to any religion and any school of thought. They also assured to protect the national unity of Syria and its land. They expressed resolve for a peaceful transfer of power and complete national reconciliation.”

The director of foreign affairs of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan said that their announcements are hopeful and correct the misunderstandings raised by the enemy. “At this time, the land of Syria needs unity and reconciliation and not division and hatred. Spreading division and hatred is the agenda of the Zionists. Sectarian rhetoric promotes the enemy’s goals. The gates of Damascus are now open,” he added.

He said, “The goal of the freedom of Al-Quds is yet to come. We welcome the announcement of the pioneers of the freedom of the land of Syria, in which they have said that we will all work together to form this great revolution of the modern era to achieve freedom.”

“New Syria will not be of hatred, but of patience and unity. New Syria will not be of oppression and tyranny, but of justice and freedom. New Syria will not be of division of the Ummah, but of unity and respect,” Asif Luqman Qazi added.
