Restriction imposed on Sheikh Hasina’s hateful speeches after criticism of interim Govt in Bangladesh

DHAKA, Dec 06 (SABAH): International Crimes Tribunal established in Dhaka while declaring the recent speech of former Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid as hateful has imposed ban on playing it on media or social media.

Sheikh Hasina Wajid first time after four months virtually delivered audio speech on Wednesday to her party workers in New York after end of her government in Bangladesh on 5th August. The international crimes tribunal on Thursday issued directions to the concerned authorities to remove all the hateful statements of Sheikh Hasina after becoming viral. In this speech Sheikh Hasina had alleged that chief of the interim government Muhammad Younus and student leaders are responsible for ethnic cleansing and atrocities against the minorities.

Sheikh Hasina Wajid in her first statement after fleeing to India after toppling of her government said that instead of accepting all the demands of the students regarding the quota system the incidents of unrest were fanned. She said that on 5th August the armed persons moved towards “Ganabhaban” (the official residence of the prime minister), adding that if the security guards would have opened firing many lives could have been lost. Sheikh Hasina said that she had stopped from opening firing, adding that this was matter of 25 to 30 minutes and she was forced to leave the place.

Sheikh Hasina alleged that the plan was made to kill her while attacking the “Ganabhaban”.

It is worth mentioning here that in result of protests the former Bangladeshi prime minister had shifted to India after quitting power on 5th August this year.
