Govt stresses upon PTI not to go towards bloodshed: Mohsin Naqvi
ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (SABAH): Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has regretted the actions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, saying that their behaviour is a source of embarrassment for the country.
Talking to news men during his visit to D-Chowk in Islamabad on Tuesday, he emphasized that the government does not want to see any loss of life.
The Interior Minister said the government has also urged PTI not to go towards bloodshed.
He mentioned that PTI protestors are using tear gas shells against the law enforcement agencies, which were provided to them by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.
Mohsin Naqvi said it is at the discretion of the police to tackle the current situation.
Earlier, the Interior Minister visited the Blue Area in Islamabad from Shaheed-e- Millat Chowk to D-Chowk and reviewed security arrangements.
Mohsin Naqvi met with the Jawans of FC, Rangers, Islamabad and Sindh Police individually during the shelling and encouraged their morale besides advising them to face the miscreants with valour.
He also lauded their passion. He also directed the law enforcement agencies to deal with the miscreants according to law of the land.
On the occasion, the security personnel also chanted slogans ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.
