Martyrdom of Jamaat-e-Islami Bajaur leader Sufi Muhammad Hameed in terrorist attack is a big tragedy: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Nov 19 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-i-Islami, Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council, Liaqat Baloch has said that the martyrdom of Jamaat-e-Islami Bajaur leader Sufi Muhammad Hameed in the terrorist attack is a big tragedy.

Liaqat Baloch while addressing the political consultative meeting at Mansoorah on Tuesday said that the religious, political and democratic leader was martyred by bullets.

The target killings of religious, political and social leaders in the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are causing great suspicions and many question marks in the minds of the people, he said and added security agencies are failing and terrorists have been left free.

Liaqat Baloch said the end of terrorism is only possible when the security agencies remove the doubts of the people and restore the relationship of trust as trust in people and security institutions is the only guarantee of peace. That is why there is now a growing demand for the security forces to admit their failure and withdraw from the emerged districts, he stressed.

Sufi Muhammad Hameed Shaheed was a dynamic, serious and public servant leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, he said. Liaqat Baloch said that not only VPN, but every action that destroys character, civility, morals, relationships based on mutual respect, spreads obscenity and indecency is a deadly poison for the new generation and the entire humanity.

He said it is the use of everything that determines the social, human, and social benefit and harm from it, adding the opinion of Chairman of Islamic Ideological Council on misuse of VPN app is being misrepresented.

Liaqat Baloch, talking to the Kashmiri leaders, said that the Indian rulers occupying the state of Jammu and Kashmir have arrested all the political and democratic leadership and imprisoned them on illegal, undemocratic grounds and deprived of all basic human and justice rights.
