Greater dialogue is needed for peace, govt’s claims of reducing inflation & improving economy are lies: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman
ISLAMABAD, Nov 17 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has said that greater dialogue is needed for peace and the government’s claims of reducing inflation and improving the economy are lies. He said the entire government is based on lies and Form 47 while PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was elected by casting 70,000 fake votes.
These views were expressed by Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Sunday. Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and former Member of National Assembly Mian Muhammad Aslam and Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Islamabad Engineer Nasrullah Randhawa were also present on this occasion.
He said People’s Party (PP) was rejected by the people, how long will the rulers continue to be imposed with the help of the establishment, adding how long will this trick last?
In the by-elections in Karachi and Sindh, the people once again rejected the People’s Party, but the people’s mandate was insulted, he said and added people reject PPP and they are changing the result from ROs and DROs.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the law and order situation in the country is very bad and we condemn terrorism especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Consensus is needed to curb terrorism and maintain peace and order, he said and added the government should cover all aspects of the problem instead of unilateral policy.
He said the Jamaat-e-Islami District General Secretary Hameed Sufi was martyred in a sad incident in Bajaur while Jamaat-e-Islami has always served the people. If the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami are also targeted and martyred in this way, then one can imagine what was left behind, he said and added the responsibility of maintaining peace lies with the government and law enforcement agencies, he added.
He said the Jamaat-e-Islami cannot remain silent on the events, each and every one of our workers and every individual of Pakistan is valuable just like our army man is valuable. Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said, “We demand that the entire policy of war against terrorism should be revisited.”
He said the government should convince the government of Afghanistan not to allow its territory to be used against Pakistan. There should be a Pak-Afghan dialogue for peace, he said and added Pakistan can no longer afford the recent unrest as these events have a direct impact on our economy.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that the government’s claims regarding the improvement of the economy are lies. There are claims of ending inflation but the question is, is it impacting the people, he questioned, adding did they reduce the price of petrol or did they reduce the electricity bills, has the government given any relief to the people?
