Yasin Malik continues his hunger strike in Tihar Jail Delhi: JKLF Spokesman
SRINAGAR/NEW DELHI, Nov 09 (SABAH): According to reliable sources on Saturday (on 8th day of JKLF Chief Muhammad Yasin Malik’s hunger strike) a petition was filed in Delhi High Court by his counsel Advocate Asad Baig seeking permission for his proper medical treatment. The counsel claimed that Yasin Malik is in serious condition in Tihar Jail to the extent that he cannot stand up on his legs.
According to the statement issued from party’s central information office by JKLF chief spokesman which read that on learning that Yasin Malik’s condition has deteriorated due to hunger strike, the judge has sought his medical reports and has ordered the jail authorities to provide necessary medical treatment according to the jail manual till further orders. The case hearing was adjourned till Monday, 11 November.
The spokesman asked government of India to accept Yasin Malik’s just and lawful demand of providing him with adequate medical treatment. He said that his family, the party members and the people from across the ceasefire line of the State of Jammu Kashmir including the Kashmiris living abroad are very much worried and concerned about his well being.
The spokesman on this occasion thanked people for offering special prayers and dua’s in favour of Yasin Malik.
