PM Shehbaz, Bilawal, Ishaq Dar, Omar Ayub Khan & PTI congratulate Donald Trump on his historic victory for second term

ISLAMABAD, Nov 06 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated US President-elect Donald Trump on his historic victory for second term.

In a post on his X handle, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he looks forward to working closely with the incoming Administration to further strengthen and broaden Pakistan-US partnership.

PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with the incoming administration to bolster Pakistan-U.S. relations. “I look forward to working closely with the incoming administration to further strengthen and broaden the Pakistan-U.S. partnership,” Shehbaz Sharif wrote.

Meanwhile Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has congratulated Donald Trump on what he said was a “decisive election victory”. “[I] wish him and the new administration all the best and look forward for fruitful and mutually beneficial cooperation between Pakistan and United States,” he said on a post on X.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also congratulated Donald Trump on his “election and historic comeback” as U.S. President in a tweet on winning the election.

Describing the victory as a “resounding” endorsement for Trump and his allies, Bhutto Zardari conveyed optimism for a more peaceful global landscape. “The people of America have given him and his team a resounding victory,” Bilawal wrote, tagging prominent figures like Elon Musk, J.D. Vance, Robert Kennedy Jr., and Tulsi Gabbard.

He highlighted the win as an “anti-war mandate” and expressed hopes that Trump’s administration would prioritise peace and work to reduce international conflicts.

Meanwhile, Omar Ayub Khan — the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly — also extended congratulations to Trump and his VP-elect JD Vance on winning the polls. “It is hoped that this team will foster better relations between the people of Pakistan and the people of the United States of America,” he wrote in a post on X.

Meanwhile Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) also took to their official X handle to congratulate the Republican candidate and his VP-elect, stating that the people of the United States have spoken and their “mandate has been respected”.
