Punjab govt is not able to run primary schools while it is claiming to purchase PIA: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, Nov 03 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaqat Baloch has said Punjab government is not able to run primary schools while it is claiming to purchase Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) as PML-N supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif has expressed desire on the matter.
Liaqat Baloch expressed these views while meeting President of National Labour Federation Shamsur Rehman Swati on Sunday. He said on one hand the Punjab government is helpless and is privatizing educational institutions as many departments of the Punjab government have already been outsourced while on the other hand it is wishing to purchase PIA.
Liaqat Baloch said when the Punjab government does not have the administrative capacity and energy, the purchase of PIA at the official level will only be a political maneuver and a source of creating meaningless fresh debate between the provinces.
He maintained instead of privatizing PIA, Steel Mills, Railways and WAPDA, the government should give the task to the real experts, engineers and skilled workers of these national institutions as only a genuine workforce of national institutions will restore the institutions.
Liaqat Baloch said that 26 constitutional amendments was passed on the basis of bad intentions of the government, the establishment and selfish people, adding the senior judge was prevented from becoming the chief justice. He deplored now the judicial system is again going to be a source of dividing courts and a conflict between judiciary, Parliament and powerful state institutions.
Liaqat Baloch said the federal and provincial governments should reform the Constitution, judiciary and administrative system with the power of the state government powers and do not destroy the Constitution anymore. He maintained the people want a solution to their problems while the politics, Parliament and governance failed to provide relief to the people.
